I’d like to introduce myself! I am Ashley Smith, a wife, a mother of 4 and a fully comprehensive Pilates Instructor and Corrective Exercise Specialist.
But, how did I get here?
Fitness and nutrition, in my experience, was like an on and off relationship for years!
I’d try the newest craze, the get skinny quick fad diets and intense exhausting workout routines that left me weak and unhappy dreading the next workout. Each and every time these fads would fail and I’d end up worse than I started.
Battling years of eating and body dysmorphic disorders.
I had tried Pilates when I was living in the States, but I really fell in love with it when I was living in Australia.
I had finally found a workout that I was excited to go to and felt incredible after every session!
Because I loved it and it made me feel incredible, I stayed consistent and it wasn’t long until not only my body started to change but my mind as well!
I was stronger and more confident inside and out.
And this to me was something I once thought was unattainable!
We moved to Ireland after we had our son and I missed Pilates so much! I decided I wanted to bring Pilates to the local communities and make people feel as good as I felt!
I started to study and train on every apparatus Pilates had to offer. I wanted to learn as much as I possibly could to be able to become the best teacher for each and everyone of my clients.
I wanted to create a fun and energetic atmosphere that was fully inclusive. A space for everyone to come and better themselves inside and out no matter age, weight, sex, fitness level or ability.
Pilates by Ashley Smith is here to take the pain away, to strengthen your body just as much as your mind and hopefully to have a laugh and a bit of fun along the journey to the best you!

I have provided my company’s Purpose, Vision and Mission Statements below.
PURPOSE: To make Pilates a part of your daily routine in hopes of preventing injury/illness and improving overall physical and mental performance and wellbeing.
VISION: To bring affordable, accessible and educational movement training to local communities across the county and eventually throughout the country.
MISSION: To inspire, train and educate within a safe, upbeat and vibrant environment. To encourage individuals regardless of age, sex, health status and fitness levels to move with purpose and incorporate fitness and wellbeing into their daily lifestyle.
Joseph Pilates once said that "We retire too early and we die too young. Our prime of life should be in the 70’s and old age should not come until we are almost 100."
